I give up

At work my machine runs linux, but we have this software that lets us run virtual windows. This is to say that windows is emulated. That leaves me with 2 options in terms of browsers I can use: firefox and IE. There is netscape on my machine, but it's outdated, and on top of that, it doesn't support flash and a bunch of other plugins.

My typical choice is firefox, of course. The problem with this is that the build of firefox on my machine is old. It randomly just crashes and takes all the pages open with it. The new build fixes this, but I don't have the privileges to install it. On top of that, I have to enter my username and password whenever the page I want to go to has an ad with some strange code. It also spontaneously asks me to re-login all the damn time.

Sometimes I get so fed up with firefox that I switch to IE. Let me start off by saying that we don't have the latest IE either. So no tabbed browsing. On top of that, although not as spontaneously, IE will crash and suck up all my ram if enough windows have been opened using it. This was proven to me yesterday.

This leaves me with no good options....except maybe to work...
