Improper etiquette in the coffee room just pisses me off. Here's a top 10 list of my worst peeves.
10) Overfilling the pot. The pot doesn't over-fill itself. Someone actually needs to try to do that. I've seen many an occasion where people brew a new pot without emptying the one before. This leads overflowing and coffee everywhere. Oh yeah, and some people don't even take out the old, used filter/coffee and put in a new packet. That's just gross, but at least they're brewing more coffee.
9) Taking more than an adequate share of hot water/coffee. Some people have retardedly big mugs. Have mercy, please.
8) Bitching about the coffee someone else made while not making any yourself. These coffee snobs walk in as if they own the place, fill their mugs, taste the coffee and proceed to make comments on how bad the stuff is, and walk back out. If the coffee is so bad, leave it for other people who will drink it.
7) Not shaking the creamer. I think this has to be a personal peeve. There was an occasion when I was pouring the coffeemate creamer into my coffee and it wasn't cooperating. I turned it almost upside down, and what looked like a white slug fell into my mug. We now refer to that as "sluggies".
6) Not closing the creamer cap. Some people semi-close the cap. The result is that when you shake it, you get creamer all over you. Why have a cap if you're not gonna use it?
5) Finishing the coffee and not bothering to make more. Common sense, really.
4) Complaining about anything and everything in the coffee room. I'm not naming names. Really. But the coffee room is a place where lots of people gather to hang out for a bit and chat. I can understand about how they're not restocking the sugar or how the water's sometimes not hot, but I don't wanna hear that every day.
3) People running into the coffee room right after a pot has been set to brew, saying "ohhh man..." because they couldn't get their tea, when the people making coffee had been waiting patiently for the water to get hot to do so.
2) Taking the hot water while the coffee is brewing. There are about 15 people who are gonna drink from that pot of coffee. 1 person is gonna touch your tea. Wait your damn turn.
1) While there are people clearly waiting for the coffee to finish brewing, people walking in and taking the
stronger coffee before the batch is even done dripping. Those people took the time to make coffee, and are waiting there for it to finish, and someone decides they're gonna take the good stuff?
I'm sure I've missed some stuff. Care to share your pet peeves?
